WRAHW edit with MM
Our boy Miles has to be one of the illest yet most unsung freestyle riders on the scene. Being from the sleepy college town of Gainesville, FL, he doesn’t get the same exposure as kids up in NYC or the West Coast but that details like that didn’t prevent him from taking a little trip up north (despite the rare temperature inversion) and hooking up with Torey of WRAHW to introduce himself to the world. Boy can’t stop, won’t stop. So without further ado, Team Burro’s Miles Mathia…

This past weekend our new buds at Bumstead Bicycles in Ontario, CA through this fried chicken-themed event. As we love taking care of our retail partners and supporting bike events of all types, we fried up this one-of-a-kind messenger for them. The pics are a little small but you get the idea.

I suppose I should take some time to outline our philosophy on sponsoring races and events. We love helping you guys out and expanding the awareness of our brand but there are some considerations we keep in mind when selecting what we want to sponsor. First off, if we do sponsor your event we will come through. Not with a sticker pack or a t-shirt but a product of some sort. Depending on the scope of your event, how well you publicize it, number of attendees and whether we simply like the idea or theme will affect whether you get something from stock or a custom one-off to commemorate the event. Honestly, we prefer doing the special bags but they aren’t cheap and they aren’t easy so the bigger your event and the more lead time you give us, the better the chances of getting something truly ill. We are still a small company struggling in these rough economic times so unfortunately we can’t help everybody so when you request Burro sponsorship be sure to give us your best pitch and let us know how sponsoring your event will help us in the end. I recommend you check out this Urban Velo article if you plan on soliciting sponsors for your next event. really good stuff.
Keep It Wheel!

upcoming events
Just to run down some upcoming events we are sponsoring…
First up, this Saturday in Orlando is Rat Race 3. Winner gets a Subrosa Malum frame, that’s sick! I’ll be taking the van down to hang out so holler. Any Duvaliens want to roll, hit me up.

We’re making a custom one-off bag for Quake City Rumble, this weekend in San Francisco. Ursula did some applique and it’s looking sick. I’ll post a pic on the Tumblr as soon as it’s finished.
