New retailers carrying Burro! We are always working here at Burro Bags. It's Sunday and we're still at the shop, can you believe that? What can we say, we love what we do. Even as our band takes some time to tour, we are stopping at bike shops and boutiques along the way, making relationships and selling our products. We've only been on the road two days and been able to set up three Florida shops with fresh Burro gear.

First up are our friends at Ace Metric in Orlando. We unloaded a few bags and t-shirts and will no doubt be sending some more stuff before long.
Also in Orlando, we have a few things for sale at Etoile Boutique. We’ll be stocking a lot of t-shirts there. Check it out!
And finally, really excited to be working with Bikes and More in Gainesville. They have an awesome shop and seemed really enthusiastic about outfitting G-ville in Burro Bags. Hell yeah!
We’ll also have Burro gear available at our shows. If you live in the area, come check us out and if you have a couch we can crash on, that would be rad too! Here’s the dates:
Feb 24 - Pensacola (309 House)
Feb 25 - New Orleans (Circle Bar)
Feb 26 - Houston (3605 Bremond)
Feb 27 - Austin (Discovery Village)
Feb 28 - Fort Worth (1919 Hemphill)
March 3 - Little Rock (Schiller St House)
March 3 - Nashville (Little Hamilton)
March 4 - Chattanooga (Anarchtica)
March 5 - Atlanta (529)
See you on the road!

An independent/DIY boutique in Neptune Beach now carries Burro products! Yesterday I sat through an hour of traffic due to an accident on the Mathews Bridge to check out a new shop at the beach. Sew Vicious is an independent/DIY boutique that specializes in handmade goods by local and other independent designers including our good friend Thread Wizard.
Jillian has done an impressive job of creating a cool alternative place to shop for unique clothes and products and we couldn’t be more excited about having our gear at her store. You can find select t-shirts, wallets, bandanas and a few bags on her shelves. She is having her Grand Opening this Saturday so if you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to check it out. You can find Sew Vicious at 2225 Florida Ave.
For more info read the interview with Jillian by eb5k at The Outer Box.

Want to know a little more about the brains behind Burro Bags? South Florida Fixed recently ran this Q&A with Matt and Chris, the founders of our humble little messenger bag and assorted sewn goods operation. Check it out here.

TrickTrack and RVA Fixed present the River City Track Jam to coincide with NAHBS
Coinciding with the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, our buddies at RVAFixed are helping put on this sweet little trick comp and bike polo tournie. Matt will be there representing and selling gear. Looks to be something to take things to the next level.

Exciting new products added to the Burro line.
Hey y’all. Check out these new products we just added today!
Just a basic backpack to hold your books and whatnot. Made super tough like all our bags. Getchoo one!
These bad boys carry 8 cans and drop perfectly into a small roll top! Great solution for keeping your stuff organized and accessible in a hurry. Must have for graffiti writers. Cop that!
We’ve perfected the construction of our wallets by using a thinner binding that allows the wallet to fold flatter and practically disappear in your pocket. Canvas on the outside, recycled billboard on the in. Get paid and put your stacks in it. Buy it!

Get to know Brandon...
Thought we’d take a little time to introduce you to some of the people out there riding our Premium BMX Platform Pedal Straps. They boys at RVA Fixed have been helping us out by pushing the limits on our straps. It’s based on their recommendations that we shored up the old design making them virtually indestructible. Next up is Brandon…

Important info regarding custom orders!
Things are happening in Jacksonville right now folks. Burro is looking for a new place to call home after a solid run at the BBB Complex. A company wants to develop the property which means our arrangement here has been a success. We are currently shopping new locations and have found several positive leads with new opportunities presenting themselves almost daily. We love change around here and couldn’t be more excited about the possibilities!
Also, Chicken & Whiskey are prepping for our first tour around the end of February. That means four out of the five of us will be on the road for about two weeks. That doesn’t mean we stop working though. We’re taking Burro mobile and setting up merch in cities from Florida to Texas and back. We’ll also be visiting some bike shops and boutiques along the way to expand our retail market.
In light of all this, we are putting a hold on custom orders. Any orders placed after February 10, 2010 will not be started until March 1, 2010 plus the standard 2-3 weeks for construction. We will be putting up quite a bit of stock items in the online shop in the meantime. But rest assured we’ll be hitting twice as hard the day we get back.
Love y’all!
