Check out these killer bags headed over to New Orleans, LA. You’ll be able to see them real soon at a boutique there called Gnome.

Check out the new billboard we just unrolled. You know you want a backpack made out of “Pure Sex!” Or maybe a small messenger bag to hold all your shutterbug gear made out a piece of that camera?

In addition to handmade messenger bags, backpacks, and the like, Burro is also home to a print shop. With the help of Big Dunn and J.O.B., we make hand-screened t-shirts, bandanas, and koozies which are available for purchase at the shop and at events such as Art Walk every first Wednesday of the month in downtown Jacksonville.
All our designs are conceived and printed in shop with good old-fashioned American craftsmanship just like our bags. Every one is printed on good quality shirts and we use water-based inks whenever possible. The designs are done in various color combinations but each style is limited and will not be reproduced so grab one while you can.
Here are our current designs. All will be available in the online shop real soon.

Look what we received today!

That’s right frineds, Team Burro/Zombie will be particpating in the 2009 Red Bull Soapbox Derby in ATL! You can imagine our excitement. J.O.B. is drafting the plans for the brain-mobile and so far it looks sick! We’ll be sure to keep you posted on developments as they happen.
We’d like to take the time to thank our Red Bull rep, Ryan King, for hooking us up with the sponsorship and keeping our fridge stocked with the fuel we need to make it through these blistering hot Florida days. Feel free to grab a can if you are in the neighborhood and want to come say hello.

Sharkfin of Philadelphia is doing their annual Shark Week event (June 25-June 29) and Burro Bags is on the sponsor list. Looks like there will be an alleycat, 24 hour scavenger hunt, bike polo tournament as well as the premiere for the fixed-gear freestyle movie, Death Pedal. Here’s an excerpt about the film:
Death Pedal is a fixed-gear freestyle(trick) film I’ve been working on for the past couple of years. It features rider profiles on Ines Brunn (Germany), Dre Reyes (Phillipines), and myself. The video also features sections on San Diego CA, Phoenix AZ, and Seattle WA as well as montages featuring footage from San Francisco, Atlanta, Peru, Beijing, Singapore and Malaysia. I have been traveling all around the globe filming for this project and have been fortunate enough to film with the best fixed-gear riders in the world. This will be the first film to have a truly global perspective on fixed gear freestyle.
Looks to be a pretty awesome time. We’ve sent up a messenger bag to be given away as one of the prizes so it’s a great opportunity to have some fun with your bike and possibly win some fresh gear. It also means spreading some Burro joy that much further up the East Coast.

Today we started on 6 new bags to send over to The Big Easy (that’s New Orleans for the uninitiated). We’re making 3 medium and 3 small Burros for Gnome, a boutique on the corner of Barracks and Decatur. It’s right on the edge of The French Quarter which means tons of exposure to people from around the world!
Also in the works is a custom bag for Carlos “The Beer Pimp” and Big Dunn is printing tees for Paten Locke aka Therapy who has an album coming out this summer on Hip Hop Hell. But as busy as things are, we always have time to show you our stock and help you pick out materials for your custom bag so come on by!
