event info
Natalie and her crew are throwing a Christmas-themed food drive alleycat. We love Fast Folks so of course we jumped on board to sponsor. Last I heard, Santa was delivering presents in a custom Burro bag! Could be a rumor but who knows. Either way, you can stock up on all kinds of Burro gear for the holidays at Fast Folks.

Don’t forget about our own Christmasy alleycat. Be sure you pre-register to guarantee your spot and t-shirt. We’ll be rolling out the party details later this week. Stay tuned!

come hang at our booth
Just got word this week that Burro will have a tent/booth at The Big Ticket festival tomorrow at Metro Park! We’re super stoked for the opportunity to reach even more of Jacksonville and to see some great bands.

Watch what I’m about to do here…
One band in particular that we are excited to finally meet is A Day To Remember, those Ocala hardcore/pop-punk dudes who have been killing it since 2003. I’ve been emailing Neil back and forth for a while now as he runs Elevated Engineering, a rad clothing company out of Gainesville who sponsors Team Burro’s Andrew Voegeli. We’ve been chatting about doing a collabo of some sort so it will be nice to meet in person at long last.
Here’s a video of ADTR on Jimmy Kimmel…
Notice that HotLife t-shirt, Jeremy is wearing? Well…
We recently collaborated with HotLife to make these badass limited edition backpacks that sold out as soon as they went up.

Check out more pics here.
We plan on doing more stuff like this in the future so if you like what you see, sign up for our email list to stay updated.
So come say what’s up at The Big Ticket tomorrow and grab some stickers and Burro Bar December concert calendars.

Miguel and his Family win first place at the Ride to Republic Polo tournament
Miguel and his family totally kicked some ass at the Ride to Republic Polo Tournament. I’ve never been to a match so intense! These guys were flying with their bikes and you would think with with such low gear ratios polo riders run, they wouldn’t go anywhere. Pshhh! You guys need to take a look for yourself. Congratulations to Miguel, Chandal and their son for winning first place. You guys deserve it!

thanks to all our sponsors!

I don’t know about y’all but I’m thinking that flyer looks a whole lot nicer covered in dope sponsors! Here they are in no particular order…
904Fixed
Kirk’s online resource for all things fixed gear and cycling-related in Northeast Florida and beyond. We tasked Kirk with organizing this year’s race and so far he’s knocking it out of the park. Check out his site and show support for this hard-working Jacksonvillian!
Kill Shop Kill
Zack stepped in at the last minute and got his NYC clothing / print shop to endorse our little race all the way down here in Florida. If you like kittens and being bad, check out what Kill Shop Kill is producing. Some dope mixtapes on the site as well.
Knog
The best bike lights and locks come from Australia and we’re stoked that Knog has agreed to help us out with this race. And their ads are the sexiest around! Not creepy, gross sexy like AmAppy either, just fun and hot! If Knogs aren’t illuminating your night ride, you’re pretty much doing it all wrong.
Cognition
Not gonna lie, I had never heard of Cognition prior to seeing them on this flyer, but after checking out their website I know I’m going to be jealous of whoever goes home with one of their cycling caps. So dope! Best part is, they use hipster mannequin heads to model the goods on the website. Kinda creepy but awesome!
Red Bull
Red Bull has been with us since the beginning. For such a huge brand, they are always willing to help us out and let’s face it, ain’t no party like a Red Bull party. Need a little pre-race jumpstart. Got you covered mang!
Leader
Uhhhhhh, yeah Leader is sponsoring. If you aren’t already down with the level of engineering and quality that makes a Leader bike, you need to catch up. Truly honored to have them on board for this event! Can’t wait to see what they send…
Fast Folks
Fast Folks is the coolest little bike shop in Austin, TX. Ever since we showed up unannounced a couple years ago, we’ve been building a relationship with ATX and Fast Folks has been central to that. Natalie is the raddest girl on a bike and her shop is one of the coolest we’ve seen. Love y’all!
Mishka
Mishka wins in the cool department. They’re clothes and designs are out of this world! Wether it’s a t-shirt, flannel or a pair of jeans, Mishka can make even my goofy ass look at least half-way cool. They work with some of the sickest bands and collaborators on the planet and for that we are totally jealous. HUGE thanks to the Brooklyn boys for supporting and Furoche for hooking it up!
Dodici
Dodici started by making some of the toughest rims on the planet and now they make dope frames and various parts and accessories. This Italian track brand is world-renowned so we couldn’t be more stoked that they’re supporting. Up and up and up!
All-City
All-City is a Minneapolis-based bicycle company that takes a practical, holistic approach to the design of their bikes. And they look fantastic too. From FGFS to CX, they make the bikes you wanna ride with no room for pretention or extraneous frills. Just quality bikes, designed with love. We like that!
Bicycle Belts
Bicycle Belts takes recycled bike tires and turns them into durable, good-looking belts to hold your britches up. Sounds kinda like how my favorite messenger bag maker got it’s start. Very cool, sustainable product. Big ups!
Bike Werx
Bike Werx is a cool bike shop in Miami that buys, sells and trades bikes. A bicylery! Don’t worry, they slang new stuff as well. Glad to have them on board. Florida love, ya heard?!
Urban Velo
THE go-to source for all things cycling-in-the-city-related, HANDS DOWN! We love Brad and Jeff and all they do for cycling. If you love your bike, you’ll love Urban Velo, that’s it!
Eighth Inch
When you see a head badge with that classic 1/8 logo on it, you know you’re looking at something designed specifically for the fixed gear set. Eight Inch has come out with some innovative products and rumor has it, they’re sending something pretty dang awesome. I won’t tell so you’ll have to come find out for yourself!
Kayla Hughes Photography
Kayla has been doing all of our product pics lately. She’s dependable, available and above all else, she takes great pictures. You’ll probably see for yourself from the event photos. Thanks Kayla!
Old Field Cycles
Custom bicycles built in Tallahassee, uh yes please! Love to see people take their love for cycling to the next level, especially right here in the Sunshine State. Check out what Old Field is doing, I guarantee you will be impressed. I expect you’ll start saving up for your next whip…
ZenCog
ZenCog is our neighborhood bike shop. One of our founders, Matt is the manager over there so you know they’re going to be involved. They’ve done an incredible amount for the bike scene and the community as a whole and we’re glad Garf and the gang do what they do! They’ve recently opened their second location at in Jacksonville Beach. Expansion, baby!
Cameron Nunez
Kirk hooked us up with Cameron, a photographer and illustrator who will be on hand snapping shots of the race. Check out the team pics he just did for the 904Fixed team. Very cool!
Fyxation
Fyxation makes quality parts and accessories for the urban cyclist. Their hard goods are the perfect compliment to Burro sewn products. Believe that! Come get you some.

whaaa, you thought pop-punk was dead?

Burro is proud to announce that Jacksonville pop-punkers Boys No Good (Indianola Records) are on board to join our growing list of supported bands. Composed of former members of acts such as Kids Like Us and Casey Jones, Boys No Good is making huge waves and representing the hell out of Jacksonville!
We’re working on a few new items specifically designed for the touring musician/band/DJ and few bands around here get around as much as BNG. They’ve already played with the likes of Bane, Evergreen Terrace and New Found Glory. In January they hit the road with Death Before Dishonor for a full US/Canada tour. Rest assured they’ll be armed and equipped with some cool new prototype gear handmade in Jacksonville using all American-made materials.

Coming up on December 2, they’ll be filming a house show for the “Bold City Tigers” music video. AMP Magazine wrote a little feature on the event you can read here. Don’t be surprised to see some Burro stuff sneaking its way in the show ![]()
You can listen to “Bold City Tigers” on Boys No Good’s Bandcamp page.
Like em on Facebook while you’re at it.

super sale!

It’s that time of year again. The holidays are upon us and we here at Burro are stocking up to make your gift shopping experience as easy and light on the wallet as possible. As required by law (not really), we are having a Black Friday sale this weekend so as soon as you wake up from your food coma, we’ll be here with 25% off deals Friday AND Saturday. Yep, Cyber Saturday too! All Burro gear in-store will be 25% off and product on the website will be marked down so NO COUPON CODES REQUIRED!
As a side note, 25% may not sound all that impressive at first glance, but consider this…
If a store is offering upwards of 30-50% off, think about how much they are charging you to begin with. Here at Burro we make all our product ourselves and still sell it for the same price as brands made in China. Not only that but we source the highest-quality materials from as locally as possible. So before you are seduced by huge discounts, consider where your money is going.
Okay, enough of that. Love y’all. Happy Thanksgiving and don’t forget to register for the Holiday Deliverycat Race. Spots are filling up fast!

details on our upcoming alleycat

4 MORE YEARS!
That’s what we’ll be chanting on December 17th as we celebrate four years of doing business as Burro. We’ve come a long way from our humble home-based digs to the the old BBB Complex on Main Street to the Letter Shop where we’ve been headquartered for the past two years. There have been some bumps along the way but we’ve always managed to persevere and keep things growing. Looking back we can clearly see that the reason for our success is without a doubt our wonderful costumers and the good people who dig what we do and feel the need to tell their friends about us and spread the Burro word. You are what keeps us going and why we do what we do!
To celebrate and thank all of you for your support over the years we are hosting an alleycat race and giant party. Details on the party are developing but rest assured it will be one for the books. However, registration is now open for the Burro 4 Year Anniversary Holiday Deliverycat Race organized by 904Fixed. Entry is $10 and includes a t-shirt, spokecard, entry into the party, a free drink and a chance to win some truly amazing prizes to be announced. There will only be a limited number of spots available and only online registration scores you the free t-shirt so be sure to sign up in advance. The race will require lights (it’s after dark) and a bag of some sort (a Burro perhaps?). For those of you in need of a bag, all Burro gear will be 25% off the day the race and you really and truly will need one so take advantage!
We have some great sponsors lined up that will be announced next week so there’s still time to get in on the action. If you’re interested in sponsoring, please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
We’re super stoked to celebrate this monumental occasion with you and hope you will join us in our revelry. To four more years and many more after that!
