If you haven't checked out our retail location The Letter Shop yet, now is the time to do it. In addition to the standard BURRO gear, The Letter Shop also carries apparel from local designers, Yellow 108 caps and beanies made from salvaged materials as well as various BURRO one-offs and new products not available online. All day long we'll be offering 25% off all BURRO products. You're going to need a bag for the Holiday Deliverycat Race and this is as cheap they'll ever be so be sure to take advantage of our festive mood! 6P-8P @ The Letter Shop / Downtown Jacksonville / Burro Bar Holiday Deliverycat Race 904Fixed has put together one hell of a race. It's going to involve carrying a package so a bag of some sort is necessary. You'll also need lights and probably a helmet. Ride how you want to ride but quite frankly not using a helmet is like not using a condom, except there's no morning-after pill that magically puts your brains back in your head if you're less than lucky. So yeah, definitely a bag. You're old you-know-whatSport might work but like I said, 25% off in the shop. Wear it for the race and then give it to your brother since you haven't gotten him anything yet anyway, I don't know but we have bills to pay so just buy one already! Those with the wisdom and foresight to recognize a good deal, were smart enough to pre-register. Their actions will be rewarded with THIS! I don't believe I need to comment much on the design as it pretty much speaks for itself. For those coming off the fence and registering the day of the race, we don't completely hate you. When you change your mind, they'll be $10 at... 8P-2A @ Burro Bar BURRO 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY We've been preparing for this party for a while now. We think it's going to be the best one yet and the even better news is we managed to get just about everything done in time so we won't be killing ourselves tonight! If you're still debating what to do Saturday night, I strongly encourage you to come party with us. Those who have attended either one of the old BBB Art Shows or last year's Bags in Toyland show know how we like to get down this time of year. Now we have our own bar so you can only imagine what we have in store. We've taken the best elements of past years' events, learned some lessons and added some things we think should be pretty radical. BURRO 2012 Artist Series Preview Our annual bag art show is now a BURRO holiday tradition. Check out the 2009 and 2010 pics. We've tried doing it a few different ways over the years, from open calls with no restrictions, to standardizing the stipulations and inviting select artists and this year we're trying something a little new. We love having so many awesome bags but after spending all-nighters hopped up on Red Bull for the past few years we decided to scale things back and do something a little more practical. Rather than do one-offs of 20+ different bags, we hit up some of the artists that have been with us since the very beginning and made limited runs of 5. This year's featured artists include Mark George, Tact, Squid Dust, Duval Destroyer, Ian Chase and SNK/SWM (formerly Sink Or Swim). They'll each be taking one of those and the rest will be for sale at the party. We'll also be raffling 2 of the bags as part of... RAFFLE We skipped it last year but the raffle is back. Your admission of $5 includes one ticket. Additional tickets will be available for $5 or a length of 8 can be purchased for $20. We'll be picking tickets throughout the night from 9pm - midnight. We've got a few alreadt registered but check with us the night of if you want to get in on the carnage. Ian Chase will emcee with DJ Chef Rocc. It's going to get pretty stupid and we're just getting started! 10P SWEAR JAR Up-and-coming local hardcore band Swear Jar will perform. Even if you aren't in to HC, you owe it to yourself to check these guys out, they will surprise you. They practice here at the shop so they're practically family. Prepare yourselves. 11P NOMADIX We are excited to host our dear dear friend and partner in grime, Zack Fortune's latest project, NOMADIX, for their world debut! These guys are just getting off the ground but you'll be able to see them before they blow up before anyone else. Have a listen and tell me I'm wrong. NOMADIX! - Suddenly, an explosion! by FUROCHE 12A DELIVERYCAT AWARDS AND LAST RAFFLE At midnight, we'll hand out the awards for the race (which are awesome by the way). We'll also give away our final raffle prizes before closing it out with... 12:20A DJ FUROCHE All the best BURRO parties have ended in all-out no-holds-barred dance parties that are unusually sweaty affairs for the month of December.
