Over the past 6 years, BURRO Bags has grown from simply fulfilling a cyclists’ need to an ever evolving bag and accessory manufacturer.
This brand is built on a love for our community and cycling. We attend, sponsor and host races, and travel to trade shows whenever possible, to bring our products to cyclists around the world.
Our products are sourced entirely from American factories and are among the most durable in the cycling industry. We make the first pedal strap on the market that does not contain a metal component preventing rust and possible breakage. Our production team is constantly designing new prototypes and improving current products.
The first prototype was constructed in a house in Springfield, combining Owner, Chris Williams' experience as an upholsterer and Matt Bort's days as a bike messenger and mechanic. After experimenting with a variety of materials, the pair pursued the use of re-purposed highway billboards, then satisfying the need of both durability and affordability with the added benefit of being environmentally-conscious. The outdoor advertising industry has since switched to less durable but more eco-friendly material. Good for the environment, not for making sturdy, weatherproof bags.
